Mr. Recker and our host Gary Schoeniger will provide your students the opportunity to learn how to create, promote and manage a successful entrepreneurial business.
Bill Recker former CEO of Gretag Imaging
and former President of Fisher Scientific
Bill Recker is a successful entrepreneur who co-founded a publicly traded company in Switzerland. His company, Gretag Imaging, developed the one-hour photo machines that are commonly seen in drug stores across America. Mr. Recker is the former President of Fisher Scientific and is currently involved in a variety of entrepreneurial ventures.
Our discussion will address common questions to help unravel some of the mystery and myths about entrepreneurship:
What is an entrepreneur and what does it take to become an entrepreneur?
What are the essential the essential components of a basic business plan?
The Idea- does it have merit? Is it something the world needs?
Is there a market for your product or service? How do you know there is a market?
How will you compete? What other products or services are you competing with?
How will you produce your product or service? Have you though through all aspects (ie shipping, packaging, etc.)?
How much money will it take to get started? Where can you find the money?
