The Career Conversations videoconference series helps students meet with professionals with experience in the work force. Professionals get the chance to share their insights, and students gain information which is vital to making informed career - related decisions. Presenters discuss career opportunities in their specific professional areas and acquaint students with the requirements for the job, the daily routine of the job, and career progression within the industry.

Professionals involved in Career Conversations may be asked a variety of questions about their work. The topics of conversation may include: type of education needed for the career, description of a typical work day, job search strategies, and what they consider the best and worst aspects of the profession. Students may be gathering information for researching professional interests and gathering information on career paths. Career Conversations offers mutual benefits. Professionals gain the satisfaction of knowing that they aided a future professional, and students gain career information.

Other sessions may include conducting a successful job search, moving up the career ladder, creating attention-getting cover letters, writing resumes, shining in job interviews, dressing for success, negotiating salaries, and more.
