The “Careers in High Tech Advanced Manufacturing” distance learning series continues with Swagelok, an internationally known company headquartered in Northeast Ohio. Swagelok develops and manufactures tube fittings, valves, regulators, hoses, and other products that are vital to fluid systems such as power generation, oil and gas production, chemical processing, biopharmaceutical, research, semiconductor manufacturing, and more.
The components they manufacture and the services they provide are integral to the success of their customers and critical to the safety of those who work each day in high-risk environments. Their products have been into space (twice), out on the road in natural gas vehicles around the world, and in critical processes for making flexible solar panels.
Students interested in careers in art, design, innovation, technology and engineering will have the opportunity to interact with the professionals from this state-of-the art manufacturing company. MAGNET is sponsoring this FREE career awareness manufacturing program.
Please share the attached information with your Art, Technology, Science and Social Studies teachers and students. Schools interested in participating in the program should contact my office by February 18th.
Thank you.
