“Careers in Construction – Alternative Energies”

A Special Program being provided in partnership with Cuyahoga Valley Career Center and the Associated Builders & Contractors-Northern Ohio Chapter

When something needs built, workers in the construction industry are responsible for getting it done, whether it’s building a home, roads & bridges, a shopping center, cell tower, baseball stadium, or wind turbine. Today, a focus in construction is on the application of alternative energy technologies to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and traditional energy sources.

Join members of the Associated Builders & Contractors – Northern Ohio Chapter, and students and staff of the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center as they discuss:

  • How alternative energies are being used in today’s residential and commercial construction.
  • What new technologies and applications we can expect to see in the near future
  • Ways to prepare now for a career installing solar panels or wind turbines
  • How schools like Cuyahoga Valley Career Center and companies like SUREnergy, and RePower Solutions are leading the way in the training and installation of the latest alternative energy technologies
  • How to begin a construction career in alternative energies

This special program will be conducted live from the Cuyahoga Valley Career Center and feature the Energy Systems Program and following guest presenters:

  • Irene Ward, Instructor, Cuyahoga Valley Career Center Energy Systems Program
  • Christine Bocci, Student – Energy Systems Program
  • John Fellhauer, Vice President of Manufacturing, SUREnergy, LLC
