Grades 7-12: Exploring Careers in Occupational Therapy

October 9

Exploring Careers in Occupational Therapy

This is your opportunity to participate in a videoconference with an occupational therapist from the Atrium Medical Center in Middletown and discover what is necessary to enter this exciting career field. Interactive discussion will include the education and training necessary to become an occupational therapist, the outlook for jobs in this field, and the typical day-to-day life of an occupational therapist. Students from middle schools and high schools will have the opportunity to interact with this medical professional.

The Let's Talk Careers! series is targeted toward middle school and high school students. Each of the Thursday sessions focuses on a specific career path and is offered from 1:00PM to 1:50PM. The cost to participate is only $50 per session per site.

Students will hear from the career expert and then have an opportunity to ask questions and seek additional information. Prior to each videoconference, participating schools will receive materials and other resources that will enhance students experience in the Let’s Talk Careers session.
